Permanent Residence — Federal
Express Entry is the federal system that manages applications for the Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class programs. We assess your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, build your profile correctly, and advise on practical ways to raise it before the next invitation round.
Express Entry is not a program itself — it's the application management system used for three federal economic programs. You create an online profile, you're scored by the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and the highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence in regular draws.
The three programs Express Entry manages are Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades (FST). Each has its own eligibility test — meeting one is enough to enter the pool. IRCC also runs category-based draws for in-demand professions and French speakers.
We start with an honest CRS calculation, then identify the specific, realistic levers that will raise your score: a better language test, an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) reflecting all your studies, additional work experience, or a provincial nomination through BC PNP.
Once you're competitive, we build your Express Entry profile carefully, prepare every reference letter and supporting document, and submit a complete e-APR within the 60-day window after an invitation.
We calculate your real CRS today, identify mistakes that lower scores, and confirm whether Express Entry is the right starting point.
If your score is short, we propose specific actions — retake a language test, complete an ECA, gain Canadian work experience, or pursue a BC PNP nomination for the +600 boost.
We create and submit your Express Entry profile, choose programs correctly, and make sure every claim is supportable with documents.
Once invited (ITA), we prepare your full e-APR — police certificates, medicals, reference letters, proof of funds — and submit within the 60-day window.
We track the file, respond to any IRCC requests, and support you through Confirmation of Permanent Residence and arrival.
There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the draw — general all-program draws have hovered in the high 400s to low 500s, while category-based draws can be lower. We'll tell you honestly where you sit and what's realistic.
Not for FSW, FST, or CEC eligibility. A valid job offer can add CRS points but it's not a requirement. CEC requires Canadian work experience, not a Canadian job offer.
After you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), IRCC's processing standard is around six months. Profile time in the pool depends on your CRS and draw frequency.
Yes. Express Entry is a family application — your spouse and dependent children are processed together for permanent residence.
